Smoke-Free Campus Policy
Bahçeşehir University cares about the health of its students, faculty members, personnel, and visitors and therefore campuses were built as a smoke-free campus.
The aim of creating a healthful and comfortable environment for all members of its community, smoking, including cigarettes, cigars, pipe tobacco, and use of electronic cigarettes, is prohibited at all times on the University campus, including in all of its buildings, residence halls and their grounds, clinics, laboratories, classrooms, private offices, balconies and on any other campus property, as well as within close proximity to or causing the obstruction of any building entrance, The interiors of inactive private transportation vehicles within the campus are also within the scope of the prohibition.
Tobacco products can’t be sold on the campus and other areas that are within the University. Necessary signboards and warnings are hung on various parts of the campus. Students and employees will be informed about utility programs for quitting cigarettes.
