Sustainable Development Goals 101 Conference by BAU and TEMA
Adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development provides a common plan of action for peace, people, planet, prosperity and partnerships now and in the future.
“SDG 101” conference was organized by CIFAL Istanbul, UNITAR and CIFAL Istanbul Youth Platform within Bahçeşehir University in cooperation with TEMA Foundation, one of the important non-governmental organizations of Turkey. It aims to build a future and explain a more sustainable world for everyone at the youth level. At this conference, participants gained insight into the scope of the SDGs and how they relate to each other to understand the outcomes of the SDGs. Participants saw how Turkey is on track to achieve its 2030 goals, understanding why the goals are useful for organizations that want to play a role in shaping a sustainable future.
03.02.2022 - Sustainable Steps Towards the Future
CIFAL Istanbul, BUIKAD, BAU Bursa Center and Bahçeşehir University academics and experts came together to talk about important aspects of the Sustainable Development Goals.
26.03-09.04.2022 – Sustainability Governance Academy (Workshop)
In the Sustainable Management Training Program, sustainability, brand management, integrated thinking and leadership topics are covered by touching on the concepts of sustainability governance scorecard methodology and sustainability governance. At the end of this training, participants were expected to conduct case studies in groups and successful participants were entitled to receive a certificate.
09.06.2022 – Sustainability from Generation to Generation: BAU ALUMNI
The roundtable meeting on “Sustainability from Generation to Generation” is a face-to-face event organized by CIFAL Istanbul Youth Platform, CIFAL Istanbul, UNITAR and Bahçeşehir University in cooperation with BAU Alumni Center. CIFAL Istanbul Youth Platform met with BAU Alumni at BAU South Campus on June 9, within the scope of the "Sustainability from Generation to Generation" event. The event aimed to increase coordination and cooperation between CIFAL Istanbul Youth Platform members and BAU Alumni. The event highlights the 8th and 17th Sustainable Development Goals: “Decent Work and Economic Growth” and “Partnerships for the Goals”. Following the event, a Q&A session was held where young people were invited to ask questions and share their future careers, concerns and work-related needs. The meeting includes evaluations and experiences of experts to disseminate information about career opportunities in the field of sustainability
27.06-29.07.2022 - Sustainability Literacy Program (Seminar)
The Sustainability Literacy program, which is carried out in partnership with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), the International Training Center for Managers and Leaders (CIFAL Istanbul), the Institute Istanbul and BAU Innovative Education Development Research Center (YEGAM), is a program that enables individuals and institutions to meet the standards of the United Nations in 2015. It aims to internalize the principles and practices of sustainability and sustainable development in the light of the Sustainable Development Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals.
