Administrative Quality Standards
It consists of six subcategories: Strategic Transformation, Technology Development, Course Development and Instructional Design, Instructor Support, Student Support, and Assessment and Feedback Support.
A hybrid transformation process can only truly be put into practice through a fundamental paradigm shift. Updating the administrative perspective at every level of BAU plays a key role in the success of this paradigm shift. In this process, administrators are expected not merely to accompany the transformation but to lead it. The starting point of the paradigm shift is structuring the institution's vision, mission, values and strategic plan so that they support a hybrid learning and teaching environment. The "Strategic Transformation" standards, which open this document, aim to achieve this. The "Technology Development" standards address the sustainability of the technologies used for educational purposes, the organized development of skill sets for new technologies among students and teaching staff, and the continuous improvement of the technologies in use so that they meet evolving needs. The "Course Development and Instructional Design" standards contain educational guidelines to ensure that hybrid or online courses are delivered with the highest pedagogical and technological efficiency and effectiveness. The "Instructor Support" standards guarantee the participation of our teaching staff in identifying needs and in decision-making processes related to the hybrid transformation. In addition, the "Student Support" standards, which cover student–teaching staff, student–program, student–support staff and student–BAU culture interaction, emphasize the quality of communication processes. Finally, the " “Assessment and Feedback Support" standards are included to provide feedback to administrators and to ensure that this dynamic structure is continuously informed by the data obtained.
