GSoB Application Requirements
Graduate Program applications can be made through the Internet, using Online Application Form.
The following documents are to be submitted to the Graduate School of Social Sciences following the Online Application (within the Application dates stated on the web site). Applicants can post or personally submit the documents. E-mailed application documents will not be taken into consideration.
a) applicants holding a citizenship of Turkish Republic and/or
b) applicants holding a citizenship of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and/or
c) applicants holding dual citizenship of the above-mentioned countries
d) applicants (holding any of the above citizenships) who have graduated from a university in Turkey and/or Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus
Foregin applicants who have graduated from a Turkish University and have a disciplinary record are not elligible for application
Turkish speaking foreign applicants who choose to apply to Turkish medium Graduate Programs have to submit a Turkish Proficiency Exam Score by TOMER (Turkish and Foreign Languages Research and Application Centre)
1. For MA/MBA programs, foreign applicants are not required to submit GRE/GMAT exam scores.However holding a valid GRE/GMAT score will give differential advantage to the student’s acceptance procedure.

2. Applicants to all the English-medium graduate programs (MA/MBA/Ph.D) are required to bring a copy of the following English Proficiency Exam Score (KPDS, UDS, TOEFL, IELTS, Bahçeşehir University Proficiency Exam Score)

· For TEFL Program English Proficiency Exam Scores are stated as (KPDS 80, ÜDS 80, Bahçeşehir Exam 80, IELTS 7,0 vb.) and additonally writen/oral exams are conducted during the interview.

* (Students, with no official or valid English Proficiency Exam Score, are allowed to take the Proficiency Exams administered by Bahcesehir University. Applicants planning to take this exam have to respond YES to the relavant question on the On-Line Application Form).
Turkish speaking foreign applicants who choose to apply to Turkish medium Graduate Programs have to submit a Turkish Proficiency Exam Score by TOMER (Turkish and Foreign Languages Research and Application Centre) or an accepted institution.
3. Copy of the notarized and translated photocopy of Undergraduate Diploma (For Ph.D. Program Applications, notarized and translated photocopy of Master’s degree diploma is also needed)
An official accreditation statment, as approved of the home university’s equivalency, is needed from the Board of Higher Education in Ankara. If admitted to the program this accreditation statement has to be submitted to the Registrar’s Office.
4. Copy of official transcript (the applicant has to submit an English version of the official transkript)

5. Copy of Identity Card, (for International Students, photocopy of the Passport)
6. 1 Photograph
7. 2 Reference Letters
8. A letter of purpose written by the candidate (stating his purpose in attending graduate school)
9. Current CV of the applicant
10. (For Ph.D Program Applications only) a copy of the graduate thesis/project)
