In today's highly competitive and constantly evolving global markets, engineers and designers working in the same team must possess multidisciplinary and integrated working skills, as well as advanced knowledge and abilities, to design innovative, practical, and sustainable products. Consequently, there is an increasing need for education that integrates engineering and industrial design processes and methodologies, focused on innovation-oriented business management, marketing, and strategy. Although there are numerous educational programs worldwide that integrate engineering functionality and technology applications with the creative methodologies of industrial design through innovation and management sciences, examples of this multidisciplinary approach are quite limited in our country. Deepening industrial designers' understanding of engineering concepts, and enhancing engineers' abilities to apply concepts of creativity and innovation in product language will facilitate effective and systematic collaboration among innovative product development teams in the industry. This integrated method is a crucial step in supporting our country's industry to compete in global markets and develop new products.
Industrial Design and Innovation Management is an interdisciplinary field that is becoming increasingly important and encompasses work areas such as project management, product design, innovative design, planning, and development. It integrates design processes found in Industrial Product Design programs with effective production methods from engineering programs, along with entrepreneurship and innovative management concepts.
