Program Objectives:

1. To meet the need for doctoral education.
2. To contribute to the academic study and research capacity of the Sociology Department at BAU and the university's social sciences, education, and communication disciplines.
3. To ensure that students are equipped with the essential theoretical knowledge to develop the ability to analyse social issues and formulate solutions
4. To provide students with research methods and techniques in social sciences necessary for solving social issues, by updating them with new developments.
5. To encourage studies in various fields of sociology in line with these objectives.
6. To provide a foundation in historical sociology to understand contemporary processes and to comprehend social changes from a historical perspective.
