The program covered topics such as the role of boards in sustainability governance, good practices, SDGs, company oversight, value chain and ecosystem, measuring impact. This program focused on SDGs number 8 and 17.

27 April 2021: Sustainable Agriculture in Africa: Access to Finance and Investment
Agriculture has long been referred to as Africa's greatest power with the potential to provide food and nutrition security for the entire continent and contributes on average 25% of the continent's GDP in a rapidly growing Sunday, it is still underserved in many ways.
In light of this, on April 27 Institute for Global Policy and Bay Atlantic University, Bahçeşehir University, Istanbul and the United Nations Institute for training and research CIFAL (UNITAR), in partnership with sustainable agriculture in Africa: access to finance and investment held a seminar titled Web. This event, which emphasized decent work and economic growth, responsible production and consumption, which are one of the Sustainable Development Goals, explained that Sustainable Agriculture is possible in Africa.
30 April 2021: Maritime Sustainability and Global Trade: "The Ever Given"
In this webinar, the CEO of MLA College, Dr. Başak Akdemir and Rector of MLA College Prof. Dr. John Chudley discussed how these developments could affect global trade and reflected on the real "cost" implications in the context of marine sustainability. The goals of the Sustainable Development Goals are 9, namely Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, and 16 event emphasized Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, which are the targets, and focused on ensuring global trade by sea and protecting it.
03 May 2021: Reflections on Human Rights Justice
The Center for Constitutional Justice Studies (AYAM), the Directorate of Global Law Programs (IGUL/Bahçeşehir University) and the United Nations Institute for Education and Research (CIFAL Istanbul/UNITAR) organized an online program on "Looking at the Human Rights Judiciary" in cooperation. In the program where the Reduced Inequalities from the Sustainable Development Goals was emphasized, the President of the Court Prof. Dr. Zuhtu ARSLAN, Judge of the European Court of Human Rights Assoc. Dr. Saadet Yuksel, Senior Judge of the Federal District Court of Arizona, Mr. David G. Campbell attended as a speaker.

The training programme’s aimed was to provide educational learning on the matters of Civil Law provided by the faculty members of Faculty of Law at Bahçeşehir University.CIFAL İstanbul has collaborated with the Bahçeşehir University’s Faculty of Law to develop the Civil Law Laboratories. Sustainability literacy was discussed within the scope of Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences Research Seminars to emphasize the importance of sustainability literacy and training for the new generation of educators. This panel specifically looked at an example of a mid-sized North American city (Salt Lake City, Utah, USA) and a large North American City (Toronto, Ontario, Canada). This panel focused on the Sustainable Development Goals number nine: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure and number eleven: Sustainable cities and communities.
29 May 2021: Sustainability Literacy
The Sustainability Literacy program, which was carried out in partnership with the United Nations Institute for Education and Research (UNITAR), the International Training Center for Managers and Leaders (CIFAL Istanbul), Bahçeşehir University (BAU) and BAU Continuing Education Center (BAUSEM), was established by the United Nations in 2015. Its aims were to internalize sustainability and sustainable development principles and practices in the light of Sustainable Development Agenda 2030 and Sustainable Development Goals put into effect.
The objective of the event was to help people understand sustainability and the UNDP SDG’s in order to help them build the mindset of creating a sustainable future. This program focused on Sustainable Development Goals number eleven: Sustainable cities and communities and number seventeen: Partnerships for the goals.
