In collaboration with the University of Hertfordshire and other universities in partnering countries, Teacher Well-being Project aims to help teachers of all subjects in identifying their role, needs and emotional state in helping students seeking for mental and psychological support and guidance. This project is significant in the sense that it aims to draw a framework of differing needs and emotional states of teachers with their increasingly busy schedule and workload regarding various countries involving both developing and developed countries. The survey instrument developed with the support of partnering institutions has been piloted and participants have been interviewed to finalize the instrument. After partnering countries distribute the instrument in their own contexts, it is envisaged that the results and findings will be reviewed and compared which would contribute to the plethora of research carried out to find out more about teachers’ well-being, burnout rate, stress levels and efficacy.
