Bahçeşehir University Blockchain and Innovation Center of İstanbul (BCIST Center) undertook İstanbul Blockchain School Project, funded by İstanbul Development Agency and led by Habitat Derneği in collaboration with Turkish Capital Markets Association (TCMA), in January, 2019. İstanbul Blockchain School Project aims to train people on blockchain technology from different backgrounds with two levels of curricula and online training materials. Three different types of training programs- Blockchain for beginners, Trainers’ Training Program and Mentorship Program- target at high school, university students and new graduates. The aims and content of the project are in line with the Sustainable Development Goal 4 which is to ‘ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all’.
