The KUKA iiwa is a torque controlled, redundant (7-DOF) manipulator with a 7 kg maximum payload. It is specifically designed for safe human-robot interaction and collaboration. The Sunrise OS and control software allow for position or impedance control modes in joint- and operational-space. The core programming interface is Java. C++ based software can also be integrated into the controller, enabling rapid algorithm development and hassle-free integration of external sensors and software libraries. Real-time (1 kHz) external control is possible through an external PC client.
KUKA Agilus is a conventional industrial robot with 6 kg payload capacity designed for high-speed repetitive operations. The KRC4 controller is programmed using the KUKA Robot Language (KRL). The KUKA SimPro software is used to design, program, and simulate industrial production cells.
