As countries face new and long-standing challenges such as territorial disputes, globalization, international terrorism and global affairs; It is extremely important to promote the principles of multilateralism and international cooperation that underpin the UN and the 2030 Agenda. In this context, the International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace has been celebrated since 24 April 2019 to draw attention to the three pillars of the UN and ensure peace and security, development and human rights. The “Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace” webinar is an online event organized by CIFAL Istanbul Youth Platform within CIFAL Istanbul, UNITAR and Bahçeşehir University. The webinar provided awareness of the role of diplomacy in peacekeeping, with knowledge and expert experience to help assess and respond to tensions arising from the absence of multilateral diplomacy.
