Information on the Ethics Committee Process
The Faculty Ethics Committee holds its meetings once a month on the first Friday of each month. Applications submitted through the system up to four days before the meeting are included in the agenda. During the meeting, applications are reviewed. If revisions are needed, students are contacted immediately to ensure their files are properly prepared.
Approved application files are forwarded to the University Ethics Committee (Upper Committee) via the system. The Upper Committee usually meets in the last week of the month. Files submitted at least one week before the meeting are included in the agenda. Approved files are sent to the university’s administrative office for the issuance of an approval letter. If a file is not approved, corrections are requested, and students are contacted again. Once the necessary corrections are made and the file is completed, it is approved by the Upper Committee and forwarded for the issuance of an approval letter.
The finalized approval letter is then delivered to the student through the faculty.
As a result, the process takes at least two months. If there are delays caused by students in making the necessary corrections, the process may take longer.
