Faculty of Architecture and Design - Industry and Public Sector Collaborations

Each semester, we strengthen our collaborations with industry and municipalities through our CO-OP courses, guest speakers from the sector, and workshops/competitions.

• Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Reality High School Design Marathon: The "Disaster Assembly Area Design for Resilient Cities" design marathon was held in partnership with BAU, İKÜ, Başakşehir Municipality and Başakşehir Living Lab.

             

• In collaboration with Rothoblaas Türkiye, courses on the continuously evolving timber market were delivered to industry participants and students, hosted by the Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Architecture and Design.

            

• The second local multiplier event of the Erasmus+ project ID4Excellence: Immersive Design and New Digital Competences for the Rehabilitation and Valorization of the Built Heritage (ID4Ex), focusing on Architectural Heritage and Immersive Design, was held in collaboration with Özyeğin University and hosted by the Bahçeşehir University (BAU) Faculty of Architecture and Design.

              

• Organized by the Bahçeşehir University Continuing Education Center (BAUSEM), the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design delivered a training program prepared together with Türkiye's renowned furniture design, manufacturing and marketing companies to support the development of their interior architecture teams.

         

• In the "Lighting Fixture Design Workshop" conducted in collaboration with Creart-Prizma Engineering, our students' designs selected through a competition are produced by Creart-Prizma.

           

• In collaboration with Beşiktaş Municipality, the "Neslican Tay Memorial Design Workshop" was held, and students of our Faculty designed a monument for the park to be built in Neslican's name.

           

• In the "Park Design Workshop" conducted in collaboration with Bahçelievler Municipality, our students developed ideas for the municipality's park areas, and the parks were renovated using these ideas.

        

• As a result of the collaboration between our Faculty and Özak GYO, the "Büyükyalı Fabrika-ı Hümayun Installation Design Workshop & Competition" was held; our students designed products in three categories, Entrance, Square and Interior, and at the end of the competition the students were awarded and their designs were produced.
