The Interior Design Department of Bahcesehir University offers a Master in Interior Design. The two-year program prepares students for their individual research and thesis, with mandatory courses focusing on scientific research methods, analysis of data, criticism, and discussions, with elective courses that nourish related areas of specialization: Environmental psychology, design theories and methods, building science, and history, theory and criticism.
The program requires the completion of 3 mandatory courses, 4 elective courses, and a seminar in the first two successive semesters; this will be followed at the end of the next two semesters with the preparation and submission of a thesis.
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of design is required to apply to the Master’s program. In addition to the general requirements set forth by the university, admittance to the program is through an interview and evaluation of the student’s portfolio, which consists of the previous work of the applicant, both undergraduate and work experience (if any).
