BAU Recycling Station Design Competition Results Announcement

The projects submitted to the BAU Recycling Station Design Competition were thoroughly evaluated by our jury on the basis of originality, design quality, functionality, sustainability, feasibility and manufacturability.

We are extremely pleased with the ideas our students produced and the effort they showed on this environmentally conscious topic. However, the design process by its very nature requires continuous development and deepening. Our jury concluded that, in terms of innovation and originality, the projects need a little more time and experimentation to reach the holistic design maturity required for ranking awards. Therefore, no awards were given for the first three places.

In order to support "development potential," one of the most important outcomes of the process, it was decided to honor three promising projects with high-quality explorations with an Honorable Mention Award. Accordingly, the award support was restructured for the honorable mention awards and shared among the three projects.
