Collaborations with Private & Public Collaborations
Each semester, through our COOP courses, invited speakers from the industry, and workshops/competitions, we continue to strengthen our collaborations with the sector and local municipalities.
Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Reality High School Design Marathon: The “Designing Gathering Areas for Resilient Cities” marathon was carried out in partnership with BAU, IKU, Başakşehir Municipality, and Başakşehir Living Lab.
In collaboration with Rothoblaas Türkiye, training sessions on the continuously developing timber market were delivered to industry professionals and students, hosted by Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Architecture and Design.
ID4Excellence: The second local multiplier event of the Erasmus+ project “Immersive Design and New Digital Competences for the Rehabilitation and Valorization of the Built Heritage (ID4Ex)” was hosted by the Bahçeşehir University (BAU) Faculty of Architecture and Design, in collaboration with Özyeğin University.
Through the organization of Bahçeşehir University Continuing Education Center (BAUSEM), the Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department delivered a specialized training program prepared to support the development of Turkey’s leading furniture design, production, and marketing companies and their interior architecture staff.
In the “Lighting Fixture Design Workshop” conducted in collaboration with Creart-Prizma Engineering, the student designs selected through a competition are being produced by Creart-Prizma.
Together with Beşiktaş Municipality, the “Neslican Tay Monument Design Workshop” was held, in which our students designed a monument for the park to be built in Neslican’s name.
During the “Park Design Workshop” carried out in collaboration with Bahçelievler Municipality, our students developed ideas for the municipality’s park areas, and these ideas were later used to renovate the parks.
Through the collaboration between our faculty and Özak GYO, the “Büyükyalı Fabrika-ı Hümayun Installation Design Workshop & Competition” was held, where our students designed products in three categories: Entrance, Square, and Interior Space. At the end of the competition, the awarded student designs were produced.
