February 2017. The excuses deemed valid for the make up tests have been announced in the “Make Up Test Rules and
Regulations” and are to be evaluated by the Dean’s or Director’s Office the student is under. Other than these, the
following excuses should please also be taken into consideration:
1- Any plane ticket purchased needs to have been purchased on or before Friday.
2- Students can only ask for a make up for classes within their travel dates. For instance, if the student has traveled
abroad, documents related to the customs entry and exit dates and the flight departure and arrival dates must
be attached to the petition. Students cannot ask for make up tests for exams outside these dates.
3- Having a domestic bus ticket is not a valid excuse.
4- Students who will incur a material loss for domestic reservations need to prove that the reservation was made
prior to Jan 6, 2017 and show the amount of loss to be incurred in the event of a cancellation.
5- Students incoming or outgoing on the Erasmus and World Exchange programs need to be given early finals if
they are able to document their tickets as previously purchased or show that their school in the destination
country begins before 22-01-2017. Petitions about excuses are to be submitted to the relevant Dean’s /
Director’s Office.
6- No other make up tests than those on this revised calendar are to be given.
7- Students whose excuses are already established should hand in their petitions now to make it easier for the
administration to plan make up exams.
8- Students must complete course registration within course registration week. Students who are not able to
complete their course registration due to their excuses will make changes during Add-Drop Week. Students who
have excuses must register for courses during course registration week by using the OIS system. Students who
do not register for any courses or those with outstanding debt will not be able to access the OIS system during
Add-Drop Week.
Thank you.
