Our Educational Philosophy
Our educational approach at the BAU Faculty of Pharmacy regards students not merely as recipients of knowledge but as active stakeholders who research, question, produce and transform what they learn for the benefit of society. Addressing basic sciences, pharmaceutical professional sciences and pharmaceutical technology with a holistic approach, our program combines theoretical knowledge with laboratory practice, case analyses, project work and professional experience. In this way, we aim to develop our students' scientific thinking, problem-solving, effective communication and independent learning skills.
At the heart of our educational philosophy is the understanding that pharmacists should take responsibility not only for delivering medicines to patients but at every stage of the drug life cycle, including drug discovery, design, development, production, quality control, safe use and monitoring of treatment outcomes. Accordingly, while equipping our students with competence in pharmaceutical care and clinical pharmacy, we also introduce them at an early stage to fields that will shape the health sciences of the future, such as computer-aided drug design, artificial intelligence, biotechnology and personalized medicine.
