Pharmacognosy

Pharmacognosy, one of the basic disciplines of pharmacy science, is the study of researching new drug molecules from natural sources such as medicinal plants and microorganisms and studying the chemical, physical and biological properties of these molecules. Pharmacognosy mainly focuses on discovering new drug molecules from natural sources and the study of the therapeutic or prophylactic effects of traditional medicinal plants.

The objectives of Department of Pharmacognosy are as follows:
