Since Bahçeşehir University is an English medium educational institution, all new undergraduate students, including those who will be studying in a program where medium of instruction is not English but wish to study English, are required to take the English Placement Exam (face-to-face) on October 4, 2022, Tuesday at BAU Future (Kemerburgaz) Campus. Students are required to bring a PENCIL and an ERASER for the exam. Students who achieve a net score of 30 out of 60 in this exam will be eligible to take the English Proficiency Examination. This exam will be administered face-to-face on October 6, 2022, Thursday at BAU Future Campus. In order to be exempt from the English Preparatory Program, students are required to get a minimum score of 60 (sixty) in the English Proficiency Exam. For students of the Department of English Language Teaching and Faculty of Medicine, the minimum passing grade required is 80 (eighty) out of 100 (one hundred), and for students of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Faculty of Dentistry, the minimum passing grade required is 70 (seventy) out of 100 (one hundred).
Students who have received a satisfactory score from one of the exams that is recognized by Bahçeşehir University as being equivalent to the Bahçeşehir University English Proficiency Examination are exempt from the English Preparatory Program. You will be sent the exam information via email and SMS one day before the exam. Please activate your BAU email account to receive emails from the university. Please also visit the website of the School of Foreign Languages to be informed about all aspects of the English Preparatory Program, including but not limited to education at BAU PREP, academic calendar, policies and procedures, and sample exams.
