Faculty of Medicine - International Student Applications to BAU MED
Who can apply?
Students who wish to enter BAU MED through the International Student quota instead of being placed by ÖSYM must first check whether they are eligible to apply athttps://yok.gov.tr/
How many students are admitted?
Each year, BAU MED admits international students at a rate of 50% of that year's ÖSYM quota. In 2014-2015, as the quota for Turkish students was 60, 30 international students were admitted for the same academic year; owing to the high number and quality of international applications, only about 15% of applicants could be admitted.
What kind of students are admitted?
The qualities sought in students admitted through the international quota are a very high level of academic achievement, particularly in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics, enabling them to succeed in our unusually intensive medical education program, together with a desire to do research and an interest in becoming a scientist.
