Admissions to the Presidential National Internship Program

Dear Student,

Before starting the Presidential National Internship Programto which you have applied and been accepted, you are required to obtain insurance coverage. The internship process is explained below in3 basic stepsto be followed. Please read the explanations carefully, follow the steps and send your complete set of documents to the e-mail address indicated.

Step 1: How Will You Initiate Your Insurance?

The list of documents required to initiate insurance for our students who have applied for the "Presidential National Internship Program" is provided below.

• Internship Approval Letter (the document sent to you by CBİKO containing your internship dates)
• Certificate of Residence (can be downloaded from e-Government)
• Copy of ID (can be attached as a photo of the front and back)
• Undertaking Form-1 (Insured Students) and Undertaking Form-2 (Uninsured Students)(You can share the form by writing your name and surname in the signature section of the document)

Note: If you have health insurance through your family (SGK or private), you should download and fill out the form titled"Undertaking Form-1" above; if not, you should download and fill out the form titled"Undertaking Form-2".

After signing your undertaking form, you must scan the requested insurance documents and send them as attachments15 days before your internship start date to staj@hur.bau.edu.tr. If your internship starts more than 1 month from now, your insurance cannot be initiated due to the procedures of the Social Security Institution (SGK).

Step 2: What Will You Do After Your Insurance Is Initiated?

Once your insurance process is completed, your insurance document will be sent to you. You must print out this document. You must then submit your documents, together with all the documents requested by the institution where you will complete your internship, to that institution.

(Note: In some cases, the host institution may ask you to submit a contract and an application form. In this case, you must have the requested form signed by Prof. Dr. Hasan Kerem Alptekin, Vice Dean of the BAU Faculty of Health Sciences. You should download the contracthereand the application formhere , fill them out and submit them to your host institution.

Step 3: What Will You Do If You Have Questions About the Internship Process?

If you have any questions about the technical procedures, you can also consult the faculty member who serves as the internship coordinator in your department.
