School of Applied Sciences - Gastronomy and Culinary Arts
Gastronomy and Culinary Arts is a discipline that primarily focuses on the relationship between food and culture. Students in the Gastronomy program receive education within a broad framework that combines practical culinary training with both theoretical and applied courses such as history, culture, business management, menu planning, and food photography.
The Bahçeşehir University Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Program offers high-standard education with three professional training kitchens equipped with modern, state-of-the-art equipment and designed to allow all students to work comfortably at individual stations, a pastry and bakery kitchen, and a gastronomy department restaurant where students can present the skills they acquire in their courses to guests. Located within the BAU Culinary Arts Center, the program aims to train young professionals who can work in all areas of the food and beverage industry.
In line with the multidisciplinary nature of gastronomy, students are educated through a curriculum designed according to the latest trends in the food and beverage sector, enabling them to pursue diverse career opportunities across the industry.
