In line with the guidelines and policies published by this Committee (for example, the "Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors" and the "COPE Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors"), ethical principles must be observed at all stages of the publication process and by every party involved in the process.
All articles submitted to the Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Law Journal must not have been previously published elsewhere and must not be under review for publication in another journal.
All articles submitted to the Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Law Journal first undergo a plagiarism similarity check using Turnitin software. Articles accepted at this stage are evaluated by the editor and two reviewers.
The review by the reviewers is carried out in accordance with the principles of blind peer review. In this system, reviewers submit their evaluations of the article to the editorial board without contacting the authors. These reasoned reports are forwarded to the authors by the editorial board, with the reviewers' details kept confidential.
If plagiarism, data manipulation or similar unethical conduct is detected in articles submitted to the journal, the article will be rejected. Articles that are not scholarly in nature or do not comply with scientific research methods cannot be published in the journal.
For articles accepted for publication in the journal, the submission date, acceptance date, and the author's institution, e-mail address and ORCID number are provided on the first page of the article.
