Courses
Preschool music education is held as a group class for 2 hours per week, structured to include body rhythm and basic music education. Instrument lessons are not offered in this group. No examination is required for admission to or completion of this program.
Music Certificate Program Courses:
Online Music Culture, Solfège, Instrument
Instrument: Aims to introduce students to an instrument selected by the student and/or instructors, to develop their playing, and to enable them to perform music individually or in groups.
Solfège: Aims to advance the student's music reading and writing skills in a way that prepares them for a professional stage career.
Music Culture: Aims to examine different musical styles, composers and movements, while also covering music history.
Educational Process:
- The preparatory level and the levels cover a 14-month period, and students advance to the next level through an examination held before a jury.
- For each level, students of Classical Music instruments will perform 2 or 4 pieces, depending on their level, selected from Technical Studies and the Baroque (List A), Classical (List B), Romantic (List C) and 20th Century (List D) repertoires. Students of other branches will perform 2 or 4 pieces, depending on their level, from the repertoire pool specified in the curriculum. In addition, theory and solfège level examinations are held for each level in order to advance to the next level.
- For transfers between levels and external applications to any level, an examination is held according to the specified program. Applications from outside BAU may only be made to Level V, following an examination on the Level IV repertoire and a Theory & Solfège examination.
- Instrument lessons will be one class hour, and group Theory and Solfège lessons will be two class hours. One class hour is 50 minutes.
- Students in Preparatory 1 and 2 will take an online Music Culture course.
