STEPS FOR INTERNSHIP
To start the internship:
- Determination of internship and approval by the department (At least 4 engineers should work at the internship place)
- Submission of the internship obligation form to the place of internship by the student
- Determining whether the dates of the internship are suitable for the academic calendar
- In case of admission to the internship, the internship application form is filled and signed by the company and delivered to the department internship coordinator (Assist. Prof. Hüseyin Günhan Özcan: [email protected])
To start the insurance:
- The completion of the documents requested by the Personnel Department by the students to be insured by the school, if internship is within Turkey. Otherwise getting the insurence is the responsibility of student and institute of internship. Students should deliver one copy of the insured employment statement document to the department internship coordinator (Assist. Prof. Hüseyin Günhan Özcan: [email protected]) and another copy to the place of internship
Please note that if the approved application form (filled and signed by the company) and the insured employment statement document are not delivered to the department internship coordinator (Assist. Prof. Hüseyin Günhan Özcan: [email protected]), the internship can not be started.
To finalise the internship:
- Students who have completed their internship in the summer term must register for the internship course in the following two semesters,
- At the end of the internship, students upload their internship reports (It should be prepared in English and computer environment) to ItsLearning: If the similarity rate is over 20% in the internship reports, the students should reduce this rate to less than 20%,
- Delivery of the internship report (the pages containing the daily work part must be signed and stamped, the pages containing the question and answer part must be initialed) and the internship certificate (must be in a sealed envelope) to the internship commission member (Res. Assist. Selen Yoldaş: [email protected]) with completed signatures and stamps, by hand or by post,
- Evaluation of the internship report of the internship commission and notifying the students of the passed, failed and revision status. The final report that will be created after the feedback (if there is a revision, the similarity rate should be checked again) is delivered to the internship commission member again (Res. Assistant Selen Yoldas: [email protected]) in printed form or by mail, with the signatures and stamps completed,
Please note that if the internship report and internship certificate are not delivered to the department internship assistant (Selen Yoldaş: [email protected]) until the end of the 4th week of the academic semester in which the internship course is taken, the internship can not be considered as valid.
