Electrical and Electronics Engineering (English - Thesis, non-Thesis) - Program Definition

Electrical and electronics engineering is a broad field with many sub-disciplines such as telecommunications and networks, signal processing, systems and control, robotics, electromagnetics, optics and photonics, nano-technology and electronics.

The mission of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Masters Program is to prepare its graduates with the knowledge and skills needed to follow advancements in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and to be able to perform novel and cutting-edge research. The program aims to graduate individuals who are able to provide solutions to societal challenges, are committed to life-long learning, are conscious of professional and ethical responsibilities and are creative entrepreneurs with leadership qualities; and help facilitate industry-university collaborations.

BAU’s Electrical and Electronics Masters Program with Thesis comprises a total of 7 courses, one seminar course, and a thesis to be completed in two semesters. By the end of their second semester, the students are expected to have determined their thesis advisors, and thesis topics within the department’s main research subjects, such as telecommunication and networks, signal processing, electromagnetics, photonics, energy, or robotics. In addition, the students are encouraged to have submitted at least one conference proceeding or journal publication before graduation. The department also offers a masters program without thesis.

Graduates of the Electrical and Electronics Masters Program are qualified for competitive positions in telecommunication, energy, and electronics industries, or can choose to continue their higher education in a PhD program for an academic carrier.
