In addition to the Consuls General of Croatia, Bangladesh, Uruguay, Venezuela, Lebanon, Albania and Slovakia, consular representatives of the United States, Japan, Sweden, Saudi Arabia, Moldova, Bulgaria, Sweden, Egypt, Switzerland, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Romania, Poland, Indonesia, Iraq and Slovakia attended the event organized by BAU Gastronomy.
"Different cultures can come together through food"
Emphasizing the unifying nature of eating, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Z. Dilistan Shipman, Director of the BAU School of Applied Sciences, said: "This event, the first we have held under the name of Gastrodiplomacy, was even more successful than we expected. Everyone from different consulates came together around food. Thus, we once again witnessed that food is a passion, a love and a unifying force. Thanks to these events, the second of which we will hold next month, my belief has grown that different cultures will come together through food without prejudice."
