Young Animators Are Trained through the Ministry of National Education - BAU Collaboration

Animation, an interdisciplinary, inclusive, entertaining and important form of art and communication, is turning into an education program to reach young people aged 14 to 18. To enable our young people to engage at an earlier age with animation, which spans a very rich and fertile field including visual and auditory arts, scriptwriting, analog and digital technologies and storytelling, the "Animation Camp" is being launched through the collaboration of the Ministry of National Education and Bahçeşehir University, coordinated by the Directorate General of Secondary Education.

Program design and production of the "Animation Camp", whose episodes of 20 to 30 minutes each will be broadcast on the TRT EBA TV High School channel as part of the summer camp programs and within the TRT EBA TV Arts programs, are undertaken by Prof. Dr. Nazlı Eda Noyan, Head of the Department of Cartoon and Animation, and its direction by Assist. Prof. Dr. Erkan Büker from the Department of Cinema and Television.

All curriculum, filming, editing and other production processes of the camp, designed to introduce animation in all its components to young people with valuable names from the field, to encourage them and to help them gain skills by providing basic knowledge and practice, are carried out within our faculty.

FUNDAMENTALS OF ANIMATION

The packed program, in which Prof. Dr. Nazlı Eda Noyan will cover the history and importance of animation, Prof. Nam Kook Lee animation toys and animation principles, Ilgın Saçan the 12 basic principles of animation, screenwriter and educator Selçuk Akman and Arzu Yurtseven scriptwriting for animation, artist Korkut Akaçık visualizing ideas and drawing, Emre Şan VFX, Onurcan Çaylı 3D character design, Natali Yeres set design, Yeşim Aktaş animation production, Jochen Proehl photography, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Korkut Mehmet Öztekin the history, genres and practices of comics, Ozan Baysal music, Arman Şernaz 3D animation tools, Meryem Yavuz cinematography, Tijen Pal visual effects supervision and Başar Muluk game animation, will be on air on the TRT EBA TV High School channel throughout the summer, not only for young people but for everyone interested in animation.
