Assist. Prof. Ayşe Serra KAYA
Speech and Language Therapist
Following her undergraduate studies in the Department of Psychology at Koç University, she began her professional career as a psychologist at PEDAM Psychiatry Clinic. In 2015, she completed the Master’s Program in Speech and Language Therapy at Anadolu University and specialized in the field. She continues her profession integrating her clinical and academic experience through a holistic approach. She has been actively practicing as a speech and language therapist for over a decade in various clinical and counseling centers. Between 2018 and 2021, she served as the founder of LUNA Speech, Language and Counseling Center, conducting comprehensive assessment and therapy processes with children and adults across different age groups. She completed her PhD in Speech and Language Therapy at Anadolu University in 2024. Her doctoral dissertation examined the relationship between executive functioning skills and narrative abilities in school-aged children with Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). She currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Speech and Language Therapy, Faculty of Health Sciences at Bahçeşehir University. In 2024, she also completed her undergraduate studies in Child Development at Istanbul University. She continues her interdisciplinary academic development in the Master’s Program in Neuroscience at Bahçeşehir University. She has international research experience and has participated in research groups at the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics, the University of Groningen, and Eötvös Loránd University. She has a high level of proficiency in English. Her primary areas of interest include developmental and acquired language disorders and fluency disorders.
Assist. Prof. Seda Eyilikeder TEKİN
Speech and Language Therapist
She received her bachelor’s degree in English Language Teaching from Anadolu University and completed her master’s and doctoral degrees in Speech and Language Therapy at the Institute of Health Sciences at the same university. She completed clinical observations and internships in language, speech, voice, and swallowing disorders at DİLKOM, West Virginia University Ruby Hospital, Florence Nightingale Hospital, Çapa Faculty of Medicine, Osmangazi University Hospital, and Yeditepe University Dental Hospital. She has presented oral and poster papers at various national and international congresses and has delivered numerous seminars on language and speech disorders in children. She served as co-translator of the books How to Use Video Modeling and Video Prompting? and How to Develop and Implement Visual Supports? The educational application she developed, 5N1K: Neden? / Wh Questions: Why?, was selected by Apple Inc. as Turkey’s Best Children’s Educational App of 2015 and is published worldwide in both English and Turkish. She has served at Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine and at various private counseling and rehabilitation centers. She founded Nefes Speech, Language and Development Center in 2016. Since 2021, she has been serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Speech and Language Therapy at Bahçeşehir University. Her primary research and clinical interests include language and speech disorders in children with developmental disabilities (autism, intellectual disabilities and hearing impairments), developmental language disorders, speech sound disorders, motor speech disorders (dysarthria and apraxia), fluency disorders (stuttering and cluttering), and specific learning disabilities.
Lect. Muhsin DÖLEK, MSc
Speech and Language Therapist
He graduated with high honors from the Department of Speech and Language Therapy at Üsküdar University in 2020. He completed his Master’s degree at the same university, examining emotional attributions to facial expressions in individuals who stutter. Between 2020 and 2022, he worked as a speech and language therapist in various private centers. In 2023, he was admitted with a full scholarship to the PhD Program in Speech and Language Disorders Therapy at Üsküdar University, where he continues his doctoral studies. His research has been presented as oral papers at national and international congresses. Since 2023, he has been serving as an Instructor in the Department of Speech and Language Therapy at Bahçeşehir University. He is also a certified DIR Floortime 201 practitioner and has received internationally accredited training such as PROMPT.
Lect. Selin TOKALAK, MSc
Speech and Language Therapist
She graduated with honors from Üsküdar University in 2018 as one of the first graduates of the Speech and Language Therapy program in Türkiye. She has worked full-time in private counseling centers, special education and rehabilitation centers, and hospitals while pursuing her graduate studies. In 2021, she completed her Master’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy at Üsküdar University and earned the title of Specialist Speech and Language Therapist. She is currently continuing her PhD studies (thesis stage) in Speech and Language Disorders Therapy and pursuing a second Master’s degree in Gastronomy and Culinary Arts at Bahçeşehir University. Since the beginning of her undergraduate education in Speech and Language Therapy, she has conducted clinical observations and practice for over a decade at numerous leading centers in Türkiye and has undertaken significant roles in various academic studies. In order to gain an international perspective in her profession, she was awarded the European Internship Consortium Scholarship and completed internships in Germany and the Netherlands during her undergraduate studies. She has received formal training in assessment tools and intervention approaches, such as the Turkish Early Language Development Test (TEDİL), the Turkish School-Age Language Development Test (TODİL), the Interaction-Based Early Childhood Intervention Program (ETEÇOM), and Floortime 101, and she continues her professional education in the field of Speech and Language Therapy. Her main areas of practice include speech sound disorders, language disorders, and voice disorders.
Erdoğan Eren ÖZBÜYÜK, MSc Candidate
Speech and Language Therapist
He completed his undergraduate studies in Speech and Language Therapy at Üsküdar University in 2024. Throughout his undergraduate education, he served as a club president and an organizing committee member in various congresses. He has worked full-time in private counseling, special education, and rehabilitation centers and has more than six years of clinical observation and practice experience. He is currently at the thesis stage of his Master’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy at Bahçeşehir University. He has received training in several assessment tools and intervention approaches, such as Turkish Early Language Development Test (TEDİL), the Ankara Developmental Screening Inventory (AGTE), the Turkish Augmentative and Alternative Communication System (TADİS), and the Developmental Language Disorder Roadmap Program, and is a certified PROMPT clinician and DIR Floortime (101 and 201) practitioner. His areas of interest include speech sound disorders, language disorders, voice disorders, acquired language disorders, and autism.
Sakine Deniz YILMAZ, BA
Administrative Assistant – Psychologist
She graduated with honors from the Department of Psychology at Haliç University and is currently at the thesis stage of her Master’s degree at Bahçeşehir University. She conducted research on Cyberbullying and Dating Violence with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Burcu Türk at the Violence and Trauma Studies Research Center of Haliç University, where she also served as an academic assistant for two years. She has received training in Dynamic Psychotherapy from Prof. Dr. Doğan Şahin and works with young adults. She is also a certified play therapist and family counselor. She currently works full-time as an Administrative Assistant at Bahçeşehir University and continues her writing career at Undra Magazine.
