Assoc. Prof. İbrahim Can YAŞA
Speech and Language Therapist

He graduated with high honors from Middle East Technical University in 2014. In 2021, he completed his PhD in Speech and Language Therapy at Anadolu University, Institute of Health Sciences, with a dissertation on therapy effectiveness. During his doctoral studies, he worked as a faculty member in the Department of Speech and Language Therapy at Üsküdar University, Faculty of Health Sciences. Between 2017 and 2021, he simultaneously established and managed the Speech and Language Disorders Clinic at Üsküdar University Brain Hospital, where he conducted therapy and consultancy services. In 2021, he also completed a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Istanbul Kent University. In the same year, he founded SLT Clinic, a center specializing in speech and language disorders, where he carried out intensive therapy sessions. He established the Department of Speech and Language Therapy at Bahçeşehir University in 2021 and continues to serve as its founding head of department. In 2023, he also founded the Bahçeşehir University Speech and Language Disorders Application and Research Center (BAUKOM), where he currently serves as director. He has authored numerous scientific articles, book chapters, and conference papers. He is also the author of a therapy book titled Semantic Feature Analysis in Aphasia Therapy. He holds internationally accredited certifications, including CIAO Seminars–VitalStim and Prompt therapy training. Recognizing the importance of a multidimensional and dynamic approach in therapy, he was admitted to a second doctoral program in Clinical Psychology at Istanbul Rumeli University, where he continues his studies.
