Medical Park Göztepe Hospital Summer Internship
Dear Students,
Students of the Operating Room Services, Anesthesia, Physiotherapy, First Aid and Emergency, Audiometry, Radiotherapy, Medical Imaging Techniques and Medical Laboratory Techniques Programs who wish to complete their internship in the 2020-2021 Academic Year Summer Term at "Medical Park Göztepe Hospital" after the final exams (28 June 2021), within the quotas and dates deemed appropriate, must send their name, surname, student number and program information by Saturday, 5 June 2021 at the latest to Sinem Güven (sinem.guven@vsh.bau.edu.tr) by e-mail. Requests will be divided into groups according to suitable date ranges and you will be notified. If you do not start your internship on the specified date, you will lose your right.
Students who wish to complete their Summer Internship at a health institution of their own choosing and agreement may start their internship after 28 June 2021. To prepare and approve the necessary documents, you must complete your approval and signature procedures at least 10 days before your start date.
You can follow the steps below for internship paperwork:
1. Students doing their internship at Medical Park Göztepe Hospital can start the internship paperwork after their dates are announced.
2. Students doing their internship at a health institution they have found themselves can request the "To Whom It May Concern - Cover Letter" document from Sinem Güven. The rest of your documents are attached to the e-mail and are also available in the forms section of our university website. (https://bau.edu.tr/icerik/16511-shmyo-formlar)
3. After downloading the necessary documents and completing them in full, you can start obtaining approvals. The Compulsory Internship Application Form must be approved by the institution where you will do your internship.
4. You must write your internship dates on the To Whom It May Concern cover letter.
5. You must also fill in and sign the Letter of Undertaking-1 and the Internship Letter of Undertaking in full.
6. Your summer internship will last 30 working days.
7. Remember that official holidays and religious holidays are not counted when calculating internship date ranges. (Since later corrections to the documents are not accepted, you can contact Sinem Güven about internship date ranges to avoid any problems.)
8. In addition to all documents (To Whom It May Concern cover letter, Compulsory Internship Application Form, Letter of Undertaking-1, Internship Letter of Undertaking), you must submit 1 passport-size photo, 1 certificate of residence and 1 photocopy of your identity card (front and back) to Sinem Güven by e-mail or in person.
9. All documents must be submitted at least 10 days (excluding official holidays and weekends) before the internship start date.
10. After all approvals are obtained, the "Insurance Declaration" sent to you by the university is submitted to the health institution where you will do your internship.
11. Students who start their internship fill in the internship logbook day by day, in full and dated, via the course (code 2023) defined in their name on the It's Learning system.
12. After the internship, a photo must be attached to the printout of the Internship Evaluation Form at the end of the internship logbook, and the form must be graded by the department supervisor at the institution, stamped (with the institution's stamp) and signed. The Evaluation Form must be delivered to our university (to Sinem Güven) by post or in person in a sealed envelope within 15 days of the end of the internship at the latest.
For your information. We wish you good health.
