The Oral and Dental Health Program aims to train qualified health personnel with ethical principles; who are respectable to themselves and to their environment; who are knowledgeable, experienced and able to work as assistants to dentists in public and private institutions. Students in our university can benefit from laboratories equipped with modern, world-class technological equipment throughout their education.
Students in our BAU Vocational School of Health Services Oral and Dental Health Program are provided with both theory and practice based on science and technology offered by expert academics and prominent specialists in the sector.
Students who graduate from this program earn the title of "Oral and Dental Health Technician".
Oral and Dental Health Technicians perform tasks and procedures such as; preparing units before practice, helping the patient be ready before an examination, providing necessary equipment according to the doctor's treatment, Informing the patient about the post-treatment procedures after treatment is finished, disinfecting all materials and the unit used, preparing the area for the next patient, pre-wash the materials before sterilization, placing the materials from sterilization in their places, checking the materials in the clinic, etc.
Graduates of this program have the chance to work in a wide variety of institutions including dental laboratories, dental clinics, in dental departments of hospitals, and companies that provide technical equipment for dental health. In addition, students who graduate from this program can continue their undergraduate programs succeeding in the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS).
