Oral and Dental Health

The aim of the Oral and Dental Health Program is to train qualified healthcare personnel who, within the framework of ethical principles, are respectful of themselves and those around them, knowledgeable and experienced, and able to work as assistants to dentists in public and private healthcare institutions. Throughout their education, our university's students benefit from laboratories equipped with modern technological equipment that meets world standards.

In the Oral and Dental Health Program of the BAU Vocational School of Health Services, students are equipped with theoretical knowledge based on science and technology and with practical training provided by expert academics and leading specialists in the sector.

Students who graduate from this program are awarded the title of "Oral and Dental Health Technician."

Oral and Dental Health Technicians perform duties and procedures such as preparing the units before patient examinations, helping prepare the patient for examination, providing the necessary materials according to the treatment to be performed by the dentist, informing patients whose treatment is complete about post-treatment procedures, disinfecting all materials and the unit used after the procedure and making them ready for the next patient, pre-washing materials before sterilization, placing sterilized materials in their proper places and checking the materials in the clinic.

Graduates of this program, which offers a wide range of employment opportunities after graduation, can work in dental laboratories, dental clinics, the dental health units of hospitals and companies that provide technical equipment for dental health. In addition, students who graduate from this program can continue to undergraduate programs by succeeding in the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS).

Students of the Oral and Dental Health Program at the Vocational School of Health Services take their applied courses in the University Laboratories and at the Oral and Dental Health Center of the BAU Faculty of Dentistry to develop their practical skills.
