Dental Prosthesis Technology

In the Dental Prosthesis Technology Program of our Vocational School of Health Services, students are equipped with theoretical knowledge and practical training provided by expert academics and leading specialists in the sector.

Students who graduate from this program are awarded the title of "Dental Prosthesis Technician."

The aim of the program is to train qualified technical staff who can assist dentists, carry out laboratory stages and prepare dental prostheses. It aims to train students who, adhering to the rules required by professional knowledge, can carry out the laboratory work for removable and fixed dental and jaw prostheses applied to the jaw and facial region, based on the impression models and records obtained from the patient according to the treatment plan prepared by the dentist.

Graduates of the Dental Prosthesis Technology Program, which offers extensive employment opportunities, can open their own dental prosthesis laboratories. They also have opportunities to work in the dental prosthesis laboratories of public and private dental hospitals, public and private oral and dental health centers, and private dental clinics and practices, as well as in private companies that provide technical equipment for dental prostheses. In addition, students who graduate from this program can continue to undergraduate programs by succeeding in the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS).

Students of the Dental Prosthesis Technology Program at the Vocational School of Health Services take their applied courses in the University Laboratories and at the Oral and Dental Health Center of the BAU Faculty of Dentistry to develop their practical skills.
