Laboratories and Physical Facilities
Mechatronics Lab
This laboratory is equipped with servomotors, DC motors, stepper motors, sensors, microprocessor-based controllers and computers. All kinds of parts and equipment for building simple robots are also available. In these laboratories, students first design and then manufacture autonomous robots capable of performing complex tasks, and implement the programs they write on them.
Robotics Lab.
Through the robotic arms in this laboratory, our students have the opportunity to apply experimentally the theoretical knowledge they learn in the robotics course. The laboratory allows students to observe the experimental results of the control algorithms they develop.
Control Lab.
This laboratory helps explain to students, through experiments, the concept of control, one of the most important topics in mechanical engineering. Many control-oriented simulations and practical applications can be carried out using the various computer-controlled experimental setups available here.
Industrial Electronics Lab
This laboratory shows in practice how to use many of the sensors employed in industry and how to interpret the data obtained from them, and teaches how industrial control is performed with the help of PLCs.
Measurement Lab
This laboratory shows how and in what ways quantities such as heat, distance, acceleration and flow rate are measured in practice.
Technical Drawing
This is the laboratory where CAD/CAM programs are taught through applications. Equipped with 36 state-of-the-art computers and a fixed projector, this laboratory has been designed to enable students to learn technical drawing programs and is made available to them. Our students can use the services of this laboratory 24 hours a day.
Computer-Aided Manufacturing Lab
This laboratory demonstrates in practice how computer-aided manufacturing is carried out. Students can intervene in the existing system in this laboratory and, by examining it, gain real knowledge about industrial production.
Electronics and Circuit Theory Lab
This is a laboratory where students can carry out course-related applications and senior students can work on their capstone projects.
Microprocessor Lab
This laboratory introduces microprocessors and microcontrollers and teaches how to program them. Students write the simulation programs they have developed into microprocessors/microcontrollers, test them and put them into practice.
Chip Design Lab
This laboratory is used to move digital circuit design and signal processing courses from theory to practice. It is also a laboratory where students can design their own chips for the control boards they use.
Electrical Machines and Power Systems Lab
This is a laboratory where undergraduate students receive training in electrical machines and graduate students carry out research and development work on power systems. In this laboratory, students gain knowledge about real motors used in industry.
