About the Department of Management Information Systems
The Department of Management Information Systems is an interdisciplinary undergraduate program that brings together business management and information systems and technologies. The department aims to educate qualified individuals for the digital age: people who understand and use technology, who can collect and analyze data and make data-driven decisions, who can analyze business processes, and who can lead the digitalization and digital transformation of organizations.
Today, organizations need not only employees who use technology but also professionals who can treat technology as a strategic management tool. In response to this need, the Department of Management Information Systems gives students a strong foundation both in management, organization and business, including the business functions of accounting, finance, marketing, production and operations management, human resources and strategy, and in technology-focused areas such as software, databases, systems analysis, business intelligence, data analytics, enterprise systems and digital transformation, and project management.
In this department, students learn to analyze the information system needs of businesses and institutions, develop technology-based solutions, turn data into meaningful information and contribute to decision-making processes. As a result, graduates become versatile, strategic-minded professionals who can bridge the gap between technical teams and management in the business world.
