Message from the Head of Department
Dear Students, Prospective Students and Valued Stakeholders,
Today, as digital technologies advance rapidly, data has become a strategic resource and the way organizations do business is being fundamentally transformed, the field of Management Information Systems is becoming more important every day. Organizations now need qualified people who can not only use technology but also manage it, integrate it into business processes, draw meaningful conclusions from data and guide digital transformation.
As the Department of Management Information Systems, our goal is to prepare our students for the demands of this changing world. Our department takes an interdisciplinary approach to education that brings together business, management, information technology, data analytics and digital transformation. With this in mind, we aim for our students to gain technical knowledge and skills as well as a managerial perspective, analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication and teamwork competencies.
In our department, students gain knowledge in areas such as programming, database management, systems analysis and design, business intelligence, data analytics, enterprise information systems, project management, e-commerce, digital transformation and cybersecurity. They also learn how these technologies create value in businesses and institutions, how they contribute to decision-making, and how they can be used to build competitive advantage.
As the Department of Management Information Systems, we aim to prepare our students not only for today's professions but also for the changing and evolving business world of the future. We believe that our graduates can build successful careers in many fields, including the private sector, public institutions, technology companies, finance, healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, consulting and the entrepreneurship ecosystem.
One of the core goals of our department is to give our students an innovative perspective, grounded in ethical values, open to lifelong learning and conscious of social responsibility. Digital transformation is not only a technological process; it is a multidimensional process of change that concerns people, organizations, society and the future.
As the Department of Management Information Systems family, we invite our students to produce knowledge in this exciting field, create value with technology, understand change and shape the future.
With my best wishes for your success,
Head of the Department of Management Information Systems
