Deadline for determining the final grades for the courses included in the Pilotage Program, within the context of “Theoretical Ground Courses”. Posting the Course Syllabi in the SAP system. This is very important and a Course Syllabus must be posted in the system for each individual Course.

Administering make-up exams(recognized by regulations) to Associate and Undergraduate students at the end of the 2021-2022 spring semester and summer school . Dean's office will submit their grades to the Student Affairs Office.

Deadline for the submission of course adjustments for Double Major and Minor programs to the Registrar’s Office. These courses will be entered into the system by the Registrar’s Office. (by 15:00 the latest)

Core curriculum course EXEMPTION exams for students who have just started university education (students who have registered to the program for the first time, passed the Language Proficiency Exam and started attending their programs) and notification of the Student Affairs Office about the Exemption exam results. Announcements regarding these exams will be made to the students by the relevant departments. The General Education Unit is responsible for organizing and giving the exemption exams regarding the courses TLL1005-1006 offered to International Students.

Start of Turkish Preparatory Program classes

ADD-DROP week for all Associate and Undergraduate degree students.

Elective courses with insufficient number of enrollment during the ADD-DROP week will be cancelled on Wednesday, 12 October 2022 (16:00) and Associate and Undergraduate students enrolled in these courses will have to choose other courses from the SAP system on the internet until Friday, October 14, 2022 at 16:00. Elective course selection and registration will not be made after this date, the system will be closed. Students whose courses were dropped due to closure will be informed via SMS that their courses have been dropped, but it is the student's responsibility to follow the dropped courses by checking the system on Thursday, October 13, 2022. The elective courses that are requested to remain despite not having enough students won't be included in the course load and fee payment of the instructor.

Deadline for students, who have registered for a course by some means or other, to fulfil their financial obligations. Course registrations of students who fail to fulfil their financial obligations will be cancelled and these students will be regarded as “not having registered for a course” in that semester. The students themselves are liable for any courses that are not dropped from their syllabus by this date, whether the system has assigned the course or the students themselves have registered for that course. Scholarship students are strongly advised to pay due attention to their course registrations.

Scheduling of the mid-term exams for the Fall Semester and their announcement by the respective academic units. In accordance with the academic regulations, at least one written mid-term exam must be scheduled for each course. Submission of the decisions reached by the Faculty/School boards regarding how the mid-term /final exams- other than the written exams - are to be administered (i.e. oral, homework) to the Academic Planning Unit. In the event of an appeal made for re-evaluation of an exam, it is essential to provide documented evidence to support the appeal (such as a jury report, camera recording, etc.). Deadline for withdrawing (W) from a course that you have registered for in the Fall Semester. You are required to take this course the next time it is offered in your program.

Submitting the fully completed forms of the new courses planned to be opened in the spring semester of the 2022-2023 academic year to the Education Commission. After this date, the offer to open a new course will not be included in the agenda.

Deadline for the announcement of the 2022-2023 academic year fall semester final exam program to the instructors. If there is a mistake, notify the Academic Planning Directorate of the corrections by the relevant units until Friday, December 23, 2022. Requests cannot be made for a personal plan.

Deadline for Associate and Undergraduate degree students who have financial problems to resolve their problems. Students who have not been able to settle their financial problems by this date will not be able to see/display their academic standings after the (Fall) Semester Final exams and they will not be able to register for any courses in the Spring Semester.

The period for evaluating the work of students who take courses such as graduation project, internship and giving their grades.

Early Final exams for Associate and Undergraduate degree students who are studying at our University within the scope of Erasmus, World exchange or by some other means and for students who will be going abroad within the scope of similar programs. The departure dates of the students who are eligible for these exams must have been finalised and need to be verified by a document from their respective Schools or Faculties. Not all students going abroad are eligible for these exams. Students can take these exams only if there is an overlapping in their academic schedules. The BAU Global Academic Affairs and International Programs Office is required to submit the list of eligible students to the Office of the President by 16 December 2022 Friday, to be forwarded to the respective Units.The students on these lists are notified of the exam dates scheduled by their respective departments. Students who are entitled to take early final exams are required to take all their final exams during the early final exam period. These students cannot take their final exams during the regular final exam period.

SPRING SEMESTER

Final registration procedures of students who are transfering from other institutions, or transfering internally with an OSYM score and those who are accepted as special students. Students who fail to complete their registrations will lose their rights. It is essential that the lists of students who have finalized their registrations are submitted to the respective departments on the same day for necessary course adjustment.

Spring Semester First Year Annual Courses at Faculty of Medicine begin

Course registration period. This week course registration of the students in Associate and Undergraduate programs (including International, Erasmus and World Exchange students) is made through SAP.Students who have registered for their first year courses in the Spring Semester for the first time (irregular students) will be required to register online for some of their courses and some of their courses will be assigned by SAP. During the ADD-DROP week, the newly-registered irregular students may make some changes in the courses that have been assigned by the system. Students in the Faculty of Medicine and in the Faculty of Dentistry are required to register for their one (1)-semester courses during this period.

Final registration procedures of students whose applications for program changes with respect to their GPAs, for Double major and Minor programs have been accepted. Those of this group of students whose adjustment has not been completed will complete their course registrations during the add-drop week (13-17 March 2023).

ADD-DROP week. Add-drop week for all Associate and Undergraduate students

Elective courses for which there has not been sufficient student registration during the ADD-DROP week will be cancelled on 16 March 2023 Thursday (at 16:00). Associate and Undergraduate degree students who have previously registered to one of these cancelled courses are required to register online, through the SAP system to some other elective courses by 17 March 2023 (until 16:00). Students will not be able to register for or choose any elective courses after this date. Students whose courses have been dropped due to the cancellation of these courses shall be notified by SMS that they are regarded as having dropped the cancelled courses. However, it is the responsibility of the students to enter the system on 16 March 2023 Thursday, to check the courses on their programs and see if there are any courses they may have dropped. Elective courses which are still in demand, even though there has not been sufficient student registration, will not be taken into account regarding the teaching workload or payment to the course instructor.

SUMMER SCHOOL

Summer school course registrations. There is no ADD-DROP period and no withdrawals from the summer school (Students who apply for the additional exam should also be enrolled in the summer school courses, if they graduate as a result of the make up exam, they should cancel the summer school course from the Student Affairs Office

Courses that do not meet the conditions required for opening a course in the Summer School Period shall be cancelled by the Academic Planning Directorate around 11:00 and students who are regarded as having dropped those courses will be notified by SMS. It is the responsibility of the students to enter the system one last time, on 20 July 2023 Thursday, to check the courses in their programs. Students who are regarded as having dropped a course due to cancellation of a course can register online for another course through the system, on 20 July 2023. Courses which are still in demand, even though they do not meet the required conditions, will not be taken into account regarding the teaching workload or payment to the course instructor.

Deadline for students who have registered for courses in the 2022-2023 Summer School, to complete the financial procedures. Deadline for students who have, by some means or other registered for courses to fulfil their financial obligations. Course registrations of students who have failed to fulfil their financial obligations will be cancelled and these students will be regarded as not having registered for any courses in the Summer School period. Summer School courses for which there has not been sufficient student registration will be cancelled. Students whose courses have been dropped will not be able to re-register for these courses after 21 July 2022 Friday, even if they settle their financial problems.
