Start of Admission and Registration processes for International Graduate degree students in the Fall Semester of the 2021-2022 Academic year. All admissions, registrations to the University and financial obligations must be completed by 15 October 2021 Friday. International students must have completed all their visa and University registration processes by this date.

Deadline for submission of the fully completed forms of the new courses planned to be offered in the Fall Semester of the 2021-2022 Academic year to the Commission of Education. Proposals for any other new courses will not be put on the agenda after this date.

To be able to register for any courses, the students must have been entered into the system. Therefore admission and registration procedures of all Turkish (TR) and International students must be completed before the regular course registration period.

ADD-DROP week. Graduate students who have not been able to register for their courses during the regular registration period (11-15 October 2021) and who have a justifiable reason for being unable to do so, can apply to their respective Graduate Schools/Institutions, together with the documentation of their justifications. The Financial Affairs office will be notified by e-mail to open the system for those students whose justifications are approved. The system is opened, provided that these students whose justifications have been approved fulfil their financial obligations between the dates (18-22 October 2021); and the students themselves are responsible for registering on-line during the ADD-DROP period in the following week. Students are not permitted to register manually by petition. Course registrations are not considered as having been completed by only paying the course fees. Students who have paid their course fees but have not registered on-line for their courses will be regarded as NOT having completed their course registrations for that semester. Registrations for project/thesis courses are also required to be completed during this period. After having completed all their registration procedures, students are strongly advised to enter their system and check the courses they have registered for. Students will be regarded as having withdrawn from any courses that are dropped after this date.

Elective courses for which there has not been sufficient student registration during the ADD-DROP week will be cancelled on 27 October 2021 Wednesday (at 13:00). If a student has previously registered to such an elective course, these students will be regarded as having dropped the cancelled course. Graduate students who had previously registered to a cancelled course are required to register to another elective course by 30 October 2021 Saturday (until 20:59). Students will not be able to register for any elective courses after this date. Students whose courses have been dropped shall be notified by SMS that they are regarded as having dropped the cancelled elective courses. However, it is the responsibility of the students to enter the system on 27 October 2021 Wednesday, and check the courses in their programs and see if there are any courses they may have dropped.

However, application acceptance letters may be sent to students who are citizens of non visa requiring countries. Early final exam dates for International students who are studying at our University within the scope of Erasmus, World Exchange or other similar programs and for our students who will be going abroad within the scope of these programs. The courses of the trips of the students who will be eligible to take these exams and their departure dates of must have been finalised and need to be verified by means of a document from their respective Graduate Schools. NOT all the students going abroad are eligible for these exams. Students can take these exams only if there is an overlapping in their academic schedules. The BAU Global Academic Affairs and International Programs Office is required to submit the list of the students who are eligible to take these exams to the Office of the President by 27 December 2021 Monday.

Last day of classes in the Fall Semester for Graduate programs; except for project and thesis studies.

Deadline for Graduate degree students who have financial problems to resolve these problems. Students who have not been able to settle their financial problems by this date will not be able to see/display their academic standings after the Fall Semester Final exams and they will not be able to register for any courses in the Spring Semester.

Deadline for students who have successfully passed their Master's thesis defence to submit the requisite number of printed and digital copies of their thesis in approved format, to the respective Graduate Schools.

Course-registrations of Graduate students who will be attending Summer School. There is no ADD-DROP period during Summer School. Students cannot withdraw from any course they have already registered to. It is not possible for students to Drop a course or Add a new course, once they have registered for a course and classes have started. Students who have not paid their course/tuition fees will be regarded as having dropped the courses they have registered to, in the first week after classes start; and any courses that do not fulfil the required conditions will be cancelled in this first week. There are no course loads or course fees for projects and theses.

Dropping the courses of students who have not fulfilled their financial obligations for the Summer School and cancellation of courses that do not meet the required conditions. Sending SMS messages to students to notify them about cancelled and dropped courses. Students cannot register for a course or fulfil their financial obligations after this date. Students can register for a new course only if the course they have registered for has been cancelled. Deadline for students to enter the system and check the courses they have registered for.

Registration of students for other courses in place of the courses closed in the Summer School Period.

Start of Summer School classes. The Final exams are in the last week of Summer School. There are no Make-up exams at the end of the Summer School.
