Announcement of Non-Thesis-Thesis / Thesis-Non-Thesis Transfer Applications

Applications for the transition to master's programs with or without thesis in the fall semester of the 2021-2022 academic year will end on February 11, 2022.

  • Matters to be Considered Before and After Transition Procedures:
  • The student who wants to transfer to the master's program with thesis must study at least one semester and at most two semesters in the non-thesis master's program and must have taken and succeeded in all the courses in that semester.
  • To fulfill the minimum requirements for the master's program with thesis.

Grade point average (GPA) must be at least 3.00

The student who wants to transfer to the master's program with thesis must get at least 55 from the relevant score type determined by the program he/she applied for and document it in order to transfer from ALES. ALES scores are valid for 5 years. (ALES requirement is not required for international students)

2 reference letters received from faculty members who have taken courses in the master's degree (required only for transitions to thesis)

The Thesis-Thesis / Thesis-Non-Thesis Transition Form must be filled in completely.

  • Students who want to transfer to the non-thesis master's program should apply at the end of the second semester at the latest. It is sufficient that the The Thesis-Thesis / Thesis-Non-Thesis Transition Form is filled and submitted to the Graduate School.

*Passes will be evaluated by sorting within the quotas (by taking the averages of ALES and GPA).
