TÜBİTAK 4004 - About the Competition
Dear students,
First of all, thank you for your interest in and participation in the "TÜBİTAK 4004 We Are Learning VR!" camps. We hope we have been able to inspire you and share knowledge about the VR experience and its production stages.
To reinforce what you have learned and to hear your ideas on what can be done with VR technology, we are holding a small idea competition.
The theme of our camp was "space". You experienced each other's planets in VR by visiting the ones you designed yourselves. So, which school subject do you think could be turned into a VR experience, and most importantly, how would you design this experience?
We expect you to come up with a proposal, making use ofthe document below, and to turn your proposal into as detailed and visual a file as possible andsend it, together with your contact information, by 20 August to guven.catak@comm.bau.edu.tr .
We will help the three best proposals reach the prototype stage by providing implementation and mentoring support in our laboratory throughout the upcoming 2018-19 Fall semester.
We will announce the winnerson Wednesday, 12 September*,the day of our closing workshops. Your camp participation certificates will also be given to you on the same day.Since we consider this competition the final activity of the camp, you must apply with a proposal in order to complete the camp and receive a certificate.(You may apply with more than one proposal.)
You may send more than one proposal. Your files must not exceed 10 pages. You may work in groups of up to 3 people.
Friends who did not attend the camp may also join group work, but they cannot receive a camp certificate.
The workshops and program for the closing day on 12 September will be announced on 20 August.
We do not provide any accommodation support for 12 September; certificates will be mailed only to applicants from outside the city who are unable to attend.
Best wishes,
Project Coordinator
Dr. Övgü Öztürk
