Our Team
About
While continuing her work in the private sector on timber construction materials, wooden house production, and the restoration and repair of timber buildings, she established the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality KUDEB Timber Training Workshop in 2008. Until December 2020, she led the repair and restoration of more than 150 timber buildings, primarily in Istanbul's UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
For thirteen years, she conducted the Conservation and Repair in Traditional Timber Buildings Training Program and similar activities within the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. She organized hands-on workshops for architects, engineers and craftsmen, as well as specialized training for undergraduate students. She further strengthened her training and practical work in timber construction through international meetings.
Symposium and Publication Work
She organized the Symposium on Conservation and Repair in Timber Buildings in Istanbul seven times, with papers presented by numerous national and international experts. She served as editor during the publication of the symposium proceedings.
Restoration and Timber Construction Consultancy
She has provided timber construction consultancy for the restoration of buildings in Istanbul and Anatolia, particularly those dating back to the 19th century, including examples of civil architecture and industrial heritage buildings. Some of the buildings she has consulted on:

- Ayvalık Rahmi Koç Industrial Museum
- Sarıyer Kocataş Waterfront Mansion
Her contemporary timber construction consultancy projects include the Konya Sille Wooden Primary School Building, a log house in a ski resort and numerous private property constructions.
