ABOUT US

Our aim is to make it easier for the architects and engineers who will design livable cities, built with wood obtained from forests managed under sustainable forest management plans, to access scientific and theoretical knowledge on wood and timber construction, and to increase the sharing of practical work.

We also aim to raise awareness among industry, manufacturers, architects, engineers, local governments and civil society, to bring to the fore designs that will contribute to the decarbonization of the built environment, and to increase their applicability.

 

 

OBJECTIVES

To develop the timber design knowledge and skills of architects, engineers, public institutions and organizations working in timber building design and construction, as well as of the relevant academic departments providing education in this field; to provide related consultancy; and to realize joint scientific projects and partnerships.

 

To carry out public-private and local collaborations and consultancy, and to support lifelong learning processes in work conducted in light of the reality of being an earthquake-prone country and the need to build sustainable cities.
