Founding Director

Prof. Dr. Zafer Kahraman
He is a faculty member at the Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Law and the Founding Director of the Competition Law Application and Research Center (BauRHM). He specializes in competition law, civil law and the law of obligations, and continues his academic work in these fields.
After completing his legal education at Galatasaray University, he received his master's and doctoral degrees in private law. He then received a degree in economics from Istanbul University and completed the MBA program at Bahçeşehir University.
He is also an attorney registered with the Istanbul Bar Association and carries out academic and practical work in the fields of private law and competition law. He has numerous works published on national and international academic platforms.
In the establishment of BauRHM, he acted with the vision of ensuring that competition law is addressed not only in its legal aspect but also in its economic and social dimensions, and of contributing to the field with an interdisciplinary and comparative law perspective.
