As part of the first week of the competition, on Saturday, 19 October, join the seminar and workshop designed to deepen your understanding of the provided timber and to inspire creative and effective uses.

Event Overview:

Wood as a Construction Material: Wood Specialist and Forest Industry Engineer (MSc) Demet Sürücü will deliver an in-depth presentation on timber structures, their applications, sustainability and functionality.

Design Criteria for Timber Structures: Civil Engineer (MSc) Ömer Asım Şişman will provide fundamental knowledge on basic timber statics and connections. Learn the fundamentals to enhance the structural integrity of your design.

Designing for the Future: Architect Özgül Öztürk will talk about creating future-oriented designs in harmony with nature, using architecture as a tool for sustainability and sustainable development.

In the upcoming workshop, participants will have the chance to develop their design concepts, explore the processing and integration of timber, and develop innovative approaches in the design process.

Important Note - Mandatory Participation: Participation in the seminar and workshop is mandatory for all participants. Projects submitted by those who do not attend will not be accepted.
