Our goal as the Department of Prosthetic Dentistry is to provide our students with the competence to adopt the integrated approach throughout their professional lives, to determine and apply the right prosthetic treatment for their patients. We prepare our students for their professional life in the best way possible by enabling them to experience the latest technologies and current treatment methods in theoretical, preclinical, and clinical applications. As the department, we prepare all our students for a journey of continuous professional development by supporting them to develop their research and scientific thinking skills.
Our students who have received education and graduated in this Department will be physicians who have the competence to perform all treatments within the scope of prosthetic dental treatment. Our students, who have received doctorate or specialization training in the Department of Prosthetic Dentistry, will become scientists who specialize, do research, and produce in this field.
After their graduation Dentistry students who want to continue their education in the Department of Prosthetic Dentistry can apply to the Doctor of Science in Prosthodontics (Ph.D.) programs in Graduate School or be placed in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Specialization programs by taking the Specialization in Dentistry exam (DUS). Our colleagues who have the title of Doctor of Science or Specialist Dentist can serve in private or public health institutions or continue their careers as academicians within universities.
