Research Laboratories
Depending on their chosen areas of specialization, our students have the opportunity to carry out their research and projects in the laboratories within our University.
Apart from the computer laboratories they use for their daily work, the main laboratories our students benefit from are:
• Big Data Education and Research Center
A research center where our students develop their projects, with the aim of providing human resources who can produce solutions to problems in different disciplines using big data technologies, equipped with knowledge and skills such as understanding and analyzing the data collected to make the best decisions, generating results, developing new and better tools to facilitate data use, and following technological and scientific developments.
• Cyber Security Center
Our center carries out activities to raise, first and foremost, the basic cybersecurity awareness of people with different levels of knowledge from all segments of society, particularly public and private sector employees and university students, on "information protection" and "cybersecurity", and then to offer professional training content.
• BAU-Stanford Robotics Laboratory
It was established in 2013 within the scope of a research collaboration agreement signed between Stanford and BAU. It is our laboratory where joint academic activities in robotics are carried out between the two parties, including faculty and graduate student exchange, joint research projects and scientific workshops, and which is used by our students who wish to work in robotics.
• Machine Learning Research Laboratory
o Recommendation systems,
o Medical data analysis and decision support,
o Artificial neural networks,
o Sensor-based information systems,
o Data fusion,
o Collaborative learning,
o Image processing,
o Bioinformatics,
o Gene regulatory networks,
o Cancer research,
A research center where our students develop their projects in these areas.
