English Language Education Ph.D. Program - Application Requirements

For Turkish Candidates

* Only students with an Master's degree in English Language Teaching, English Language and Literature, American Culture and Literature, Linguistics or Translation and Interpreting Departments or educational programs like Educational Technology, Higher Education Administration and Leadership, Educational Administration and Planning, Curriculum Development, Early Childhood Education, Evaluation and Measurement are eligible for this program.

* Candidates who are admitted to the Ph.D. Program but have their Master’s degrees in a different field from English Language Education are required to take scientific preparation courses: Second Language Acquisition, Teaching Language Skills, Teacher Education, Research Methods.

For International Candidates

* Only students with a Master’s degree in English Language Teaching, English Language and Literature, American Culture and Literature, Linguistics or Translation and Interpreting Departments or educational programs like Educational Technology, Higher Education Administration and Leadership, Educational Administration and Planning, Curriculum Development, Early Childhood Education, Evaluation and Measurement are eligible for this program.

* Candidates who are admitted to the Ph.D. Program but have their Master’s degrees in a field other than English Language Education are required to take scientific preparation courses: Second Language Acquisition, Teaching Language Skills, Teacher Education, Research Methods.
