Nietzsche: On the Threshold of Modern Thought
Organized under the Creative Industries Application and Research Center and focusing each year on a different figure from the world of thought, the School of Philosophy turns its attention to Nietzsche in its 6th year. The idea behind focusing on a different thinker each year is the principle that "knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom" (Aristotle) . In this way, by entering the intellectual world of a philosopher, participants have the opportunity to hold up a mirror to their own inner worlds and ways of thinking.
The program is open to everyone who is curious and questioning. With no prerequisites and open participation, the program welcomes participants of all levels who are interested in philosophy. In this 6-week program, shaped by the lectures of Dr. Ahmet Özcan, participants will also have the opportunity to explore how Nietzsche's philosophy affirms life and questions established values.
