Istanbul Animation Platform (ANIMIST) is an international animation festival organized by Bahçeşehir University Cartoon and Animation Department. It aims to develop the ecosystem of creative industries in order to develop animation and production areas related to animation in Istanbul. ANIMIST aims to bring together the industry, institutions and animation lovers.
With the support of Istanbul Development Agency's 2021 Creative Industries Financial Support Program (YES), in partnership with the Governership of Istanbul, TRT Children, GEAS and Animation Artists Association and the project management of BAUKEM, ANIMIST includes a free animation certificate program and short animation production in the fields of animation scriptwriting, producing, directing, character and concept design, animatorship and visual effects, which will last for 18 months.
